Magali Dumont
Magali Dumont is the international affairs and science officer at the Fondation Alzheimer in Paris, France. She is currently in charge of national and international calls for funding at the Fondation and leads international partnerships to promote quality research and funding within the field of Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Dumont is an expert in preclinical models of Alzheimer’s disease and Alzheimer related disorders. She obtained her PhD in animal behavioral neuroscience in 2004. She then worked in the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience at Weill Cornell Medicine (New, York, USA) to develop new research projects on the role of mitochondria in Alzheimer’s disease models and potential therapeutic targets. In 2012, she moved to Paris (France) to setup and supervise a preclinical core facility dedicated to models of psychiatric and neurological disorders at the Paris Brain Institute.
Magali is deeply involved in research integrity and ethics and has been an active member of various deontology and ethics committees in the United States and in France.
