Travel Award

Scope

Attendance to international conferences is crucial for PhD students. It allows them to:

present their results to the scientific committee, thus improving their communication skills,
create a network outside of their laboratory, thus facilitating future career opportunities,
meet other students and young scientists to interact with,
initiate new collaborations.

To facilitate attendance, the Fondation Alzheimer provides «EU-MIND travel awards» for outstanding applicants with financial needs.

Awards are covering for registration fees, travel and accommodation costs up to 1000 € per applicant (costs will be reimbursed, based on receipts – see guidelines).

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to our «EU-MIND travel awards», applicants must:

be registered as PhD student in an academic institution
provide a CV (2 pages maximum)
be supported by the PhD supervisor (letter of reference mandatory, 2 pages maximum)
provide a motivation letter, including a statement of needs (2 pages maximum)
be selected to present a poster
